A Decade of Celebrating and Honoring the Life of Tyrus Raymond Cobb

The Ty Cobb Museum in association with the Ty Cobb Healthcare System, Inc., proudly announces the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Ty Cobb Museum.

On July 17, 18 and 19, 2008, the City of Royston and the Ty Cobb Museum will be welcoming baseball fans and family of Ty Cobb from all over the US to the home town of Baseball´s immortal Tyrus Raymond Cobb to celebrate ten years of officially recognizing his accomplishments on and off the field thru this award winning venue.

A full line of activities are planned including:

• Thursday Evening, July 17
  8:00 p.m. - A Candle Light Reception
  Rose Hill Pavilion
  Rose Hill Cemetery

  Royston, GA
  "Shining Light on the Generosity of Ty Cobb as it lights the way into the future".

  9:00 a.m. - Ty Cobb Memorial Golf Tournament
  Highland Walk Golf Course at Victoria Bryant State Park
  Royston, GA

  Museum Admission Fee covers all events during the day!
  • 9:00 a.m.: Vintage Baseball Game at "Cobb Field" (behind TCM)
  • 10:00 a.m.: Release of 08 Card (Ty Cobb Limited Edition Baseball Card)
  • 10:00 a.m.: "Cobb Family Cookbook" goes on sale
  • 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Exhibit of Hearse that carried Ty Cobb's Body from Cornelia to Royston
  • 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Book Signing - Don Rhoades, author of Safe at Home, the latest Cobb biography
  • 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Collector´s Card Show at the Ty Cobb Museum
  • 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Lunch available by Southern Smoke Bar-B-Q (Meal cost separate from Event Fee)

  6:00 p.m.: "COBB" - A Dinner Theater
  with Norm Coleman of El Granada, California
  Presented at The Swails Center, Emmanuel College Campus
  Meal served "Family Style" with recipes from the "Cobb Family Cookbook"
